American Caribbean Medical School- A Good Choice

American medical schools are considered to be the best medical schools in the world. They are known to have high quality education and training and hence it becomes really difficult to get admission in an American medical school.
Due to a rigorous admission procedure, many of the applicants fail to get admission in any of the top schools. Only five percent of the total applications get accepted. For those students who fail to get admission in these schools, or who get disqualified due to limited available seats or less GPA or MCAT scores, stand a chance to pursue their desiring profession by getting into one of the Caribbean medical schools. However, only a few of these schools are accredited in all American states. To select the right school from the Caribbean medical schools, one should choose for American Caribbean medical schools as these schools have got an accreditation.

In the U.S., an aspiring doctor has to gain training at a medical school that is accredited by America. Although the Caribbean medical schools are easy to get into, as they require lower GPA and MCAT scores and are easily affordable, being not accredited overshadows them with negativity. This means that if a candidate passes from such an institute then he or she will not be qualified to practice in the U.S. or Canada. New York, New Jersey, California and Florida are some of the states in the U.S. that have particularly stringent rules of accreditation process.

Saint James School of Medicine is one of the accredited Caribbean medical schools. In this institute, innovative teaching methods are used to shape the mindset of students which helps them transform into healers of the human body. Caribbean Medical University School of Medicine is another fully accredited American Caribbean medical school which delivers an exceptional medical program on basic fields of medicine.

The admission process in these American Caribbean medical schools is similar to those in the U.S. The basic academic requirement is good GPA and MCAT score. Besides this, good inter personal and communication skills are required. A candidate has to have participated in some extra curricular activities. The main issues that are looked upon by the admission committee are: the application form (that also includes a personal essay), recommendation letters, sociability level of the candidate, academic performance and exposure to some kind of training at a clinical setting. They look for applications that show the zest to be a part of medical profession. They look for one's sincerity, integrity, discipline, intelligence and compassion.

A candidate should choose among the accredited schools so that the curriculum, provided by that specific school, accomplishes one's goals and desires. Besides, all the information regarding the medical school should be taken into consideration, such as reputation, physical location and cost. For, passing from an accredited medical school only provides one with a genuine degree.
